Red Mountain Scientific aligned with the telecomms industry.

At Red Mountain Scientific, we put a lot of time and thought into the industries we pursue for our drone inspection services.

At Red Mountain Scientific, we put a lot of time and thought into the industries we pursue for our drone inspection services. The area we are most excited about, and choose to focus on, is a sector we call High Infrastructure.

High infrastructure has been at the top of our list from the very beginning for the following reasons:

High infrastructure includes wind turbines, as well as cell towers and broadcast towers. We have seen great results in both industries; we just got back from a great week in Nashville with the folks at NATE (National Association of Tower Erectors) for the Unite 2018 conference and we’re excited to do even more to help professionals in the tower industry.

The tower industry is an exciting place to be right now with huge advancements in communications technology. With all these incredible developments, we see opportunities in four main areas:

FIELD WORK

High Infrastructure Drone Inspection ServicesWorking in the field means long days full of hard, physical work. Not only is that challenging for your field crew, but it can also have negative effects on your bottom line. The way we see it, the more time spent on-site means fewer sites are visited, which inherently results in lost revenue.

Our autonomous flight software was developed specifically for telecom and broadcast assets. With this specialized autopilot software we are able to show up, collect 360 degrees of visual data, and be back on the road in as little as 45 minutes.

… And that’s just the beginning.

DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

Until now, a day in the field didn’t end at your last site. When you’d get back to the office – or hotel, more often than not – you would then have to sit behind a computer screen and look at hundreds of images to manually plug data into reports before calling it a day.

Not anymore.

Simply upload your flight data to Red Mountain Scientific’s AI platform and let the program do the heavy lifting. Our data scientists have developed powerful Deep Learning and other Artificial Intelligence techniques that automatically analyzes drone inspection data and generates a tower-specific report.

From there Red Mountain Scientific provides the ability for you to share data with project stakeholders, track metrics on a specific region, or view analytics on your entire portfolio.

WORKFORCE STRATEGY

With the 5G repack and FirstNet deployment on the horizon, it’s going to be critical for the industry to have access to skilled tower technicians – in other words, matching up the right people for the right job. Commonplace inspections and visual assessments are time-consuming and steal bandwidth from projects that will bring our country the next generation of wireless technology.

SAFETY

Most importantly, Red Mountain Scientific aims to minimize elevated work wherever possible. We have the technology to keep your people safe, and our mission is to keep their boots on the ground whenever and wherever there’s a chance.

No matter what type of work you do, it’s an exciting time to live in the world of high infrastructure and vertical real estate. At Red Mountain Scientific we’re building the tools to streamline field work, improve asset management, and most importantly – make the industry a safer place.

The NATE Unite 2018 conference was a great experience for us, and we learned more about how Red Mountain Scientific fits into the needs of our high infrastructure partners in the telecommunications industry. We’d love the opportunity to talk with you more about how Red Mountain Scientific’s drone inspection services can take your cell tower inspections, broadcast tower inspections, and radio tower inspections to the next level!
